A nice essay by Fr. Edward Oakes.

This is a great article, even worth reading more than once. I think that it may be a given among (common) atheist and believers alike that religion is the worst cause of human violence, persecution and war. It is very refreshing to read that first of all these things are human, but that get worse as we try to depend more and more on ourselves as qualified and required to solve the worlds (and our own and each others) problems. I only wish you could have given a more informative comment/analysis for this one. It is worth it!

Could you try to pick a color other than yellow for these comments that might be a bit more difficult to read?

What yellow? On my machine the comments are black on white...

a wonderful reading, thanx - expecially when underline the fact that atheism is some kind of distorted religion ("your atheism is too religious") - its impossible for the human kind to be not religious :-)
